KineBody Software Privacy Policy

This document presents privacy policies for three services provided by KineBody Software:

The privacy terms for each of these is presented in a separate section below. After those, a fourth section containing some general / common privacy terms (e.g., regarding links) is presented. If you have any questions regarding these policies, please contact us at: ‘info at kinebody.com’.


I. Website

The KineBody.com Website does not gather personal information and does not use cookies, except as necessary for operation of Webapp registration and subscriptions – as described in the next section. The Website uses web traffic analytics services provided by statcounter.com. This service uses cookies, to track website usage statistics. We have configured this service so that it doesn’t retain any personal data: this includes IP addresses, whose rightmost 3 digits are ‘masked’, to dissociate them from any individual.


II. Webapp

If you register to use the KineBody Pro Webapp, we collect & store the following information:
• Names (first, last)
• Email address
• Username & password
• A record of your consent with our Terms of Service and Terms of Sale. 		We use these data to provide you with access to the Webapp, and to facilitate communication with you.
• IP address
• Your access history (signups, logins, account access) 		We use these data to detect abuse of our policies, such as account sharing violations, replicated signups for Free Trials, etc, and to purge inactive accounts. If you order any subscriptions, we also retain your IP address for tax and accounting purposes.
• Notes about your account, regarding any issues or anomalies that may arise We use this info to assist in problem resolution.
• User-Agent string This is a short specification that includes information about your device type, operating system, & browser versions,
e.g., : Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/103.0.0.0 Safari/537.36

Our online registration and subscription system collects this information, but we don't use it.
It's unclear whether this constitutes 'personal' data, but we're obtaining your consent just to be safe.
If you order any subscriptions, we collect & store the following additional information:
• Type of subscription, start & end dates

We require the subscription type & dates to control access to your subscription.
• Payment processor . We don’t need or use the payment processor info (as there’s currently just one choice: Paypal).

Also note that we do not collect or retain any info regarding your payment method, such as credit card numbers or online accounts. Those data are retained by only by Paypal.
• Your history of subscriptions and payments. We only collect and save this information so we can present it to you, as a convenience.

We do not share your personal information with any 3rd party. Your information is stored on our website server, secured with a very-high-strength password, and backed up on our own local servers.

We purge your account information after 12 months of inactivity; the data purged depends on whether you ordered any subscriptions:

If you want your personal data deleted sooner than our 12 month inactivity threshold, you can submit a request, via the ‘Delete Personal Data’ link in Your Account page (at kinebody.com/subs/member). Caution: this request will terminate your access to all aspects of the app, i.e., any active subscriptions you have, plus your access to KineBody Pro Viewer, and this action cannot be reversed. Your information will be deleted entirely, or anonymized, using the same criteria discussed above. Please allow 7 days for the purge to be completed.


III. Android App

The KineBody Pro Android App can be downloaded by interested users from the Google Play Store (play.google.com), which in turn requires that you have a Google Account. At KineBody Software, we don’t receive any of your personal registration information from Google. Similarly, if you order any subscriptions to KineBody add-on feature sets, we don’t receive any personal profile information, but we do receive information regarding the status of your subscription(s): purchase price, start date, expiry date or next payment date, status, etc. Note, in particular, we don’t receive any information regarding your payment method (credit cards /numbers or online accounts).

Although we don’t keep any of your personal profile information, we do receive information to distinguish your orders from others, including an anonymized customer ID and a transaction ID for each transaction. We also maintain a history of your KineBody related orders, including information about free trials and regular subscriptions, which we use to control your access to the app. (These data constitute the ‘Financial’ info / Purchase history’ item in the Data Safety section of our Google Play page, more info below).

Requesting Data Deletion:
You can request that we delete our record of your purchase history, by emailing us at [email protected]. In the email, include an Order ID number (also known as Transaction ID number). This number, which has this form: GPA.1234-5678-9012-34567, can be found in the email receipt you received from Google Play following your 1st purchase (for example, as shown below). This number is essential - it's the only link we have to your particular information.

Note: the data deletion operation requires that we delete related subscription data from our system, which will prevent any further access to the App and its subscriptions. Also note: your data deletion request doesn't stop Google Play from renewing your subscription! To do that, you need to cancel your subscription, as described in the Cancellation section of our Terms of Sale.

IV. General

Regarding links within the App or the Website, to other websites: KineBody Software is not responsible for the privacy practices, or content, of these sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site to read the privacy statements of these sites. You should evaluate the security and trustworthiness of any other site connected to this site or accessed through this site yourself, before disclosing any personal information to them.
